Becoming an Older Adult

"Aging is not for wusses"

             - Person Living with Early Memory Loss

I believe that in our culture, there is a negative stigma about aging. There are countless negative connotations surrounding, the elderly, senior citizens or old people -whatever the choice of words may be. I also believe that it does NOT have to be that way.

You are important, you do matter and you do belong. You can live vibrantly through your golden years if that's the path you desire. Let's work through these changes together and give you the quality of life you truly deserve.

Dementia and Memory Loss Support

Have you or a loved one recently been diagnosed with Dementia or Alzheimer's? I specialize in working with older adults who are experiencing the symptoms of a memory loss diagnosis. I believe in a strengths based, positive approach to help you cope with the challenges of cognitive decline. My goal is that through emotional support, education and physical well being, we can find hope and stay as independent as possible for as long as possible.

"You are the sunshine in my day. I am forever grateful that our paths have crossed"

Caregiving

Do you feel isolated or overwhelmed? Are you  juggling raising your own kids and caring for your parents? You are not alone.

Caregivers are the unpaid, untrained hero's of this world. Before you take care of your loved one, let's take care of you. I provide emotional support so you can feel more like yourself again - like your cup is full. I also provide psycho education, resources, and unique problem solving skills that can make you feel confident in your care giving.

“There are four kinds of people in this world: those who have been caregivers, those who currently are caregivers, those who will be caregivers, and those who will need caregivers.” — Rosalynn Carter
